La Petite Écurie

Kazerne, Eindhoven NL, 6 March 2022 Nederlands

The oboe-band La Petite Écurie plays baroque music as it sounded at the royal court of Louis XIV in Versailles or in the army: modest, invigorating en soothing, and warm for sure. The careful adressed percussion by Philipp Lamprecht enriches the music and clarifies what type it is: a dance, song or march. The played pieces are composed by the French Jean Baptiste Lully (1632-1687), the English James Paisible (ca1656-1721) and Henry Purcell (1659-1695), the Italian Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) and the German Johann Christian Schieferdecker (1679-1732). A vivid Spanish pasodoble is the encore piece. The international origin of the composers resembles the origin of the musicians: Italian, Spanish, Austrian and Dutch. The musicians are Valerie Colen, Miriam Jorde Hompanera and Marc Bonastre Riu, all playing baroque oboe, Giovanni Battista Graziadio playing baroque bassoon and Philipp Lamprecht playing percussion.
La Petite Écurie creates a good atmosphere in the well packed music hall.
